April 15th 2013 SK will be performing the Canadian composer Ann Southam’s beautifully quiet piece for solo piano “Simple Lines Of Inquiry” at the CLICK Festival. A Danish premiere of the hour long work.

March 1st 2013 Premiere of the piece “Rrrrinch Peké” written by S.K. for string quartet, babble-vocal and live visuals.
The work is commissioned by DR and Danish Composer’s Society and written for kids aged 8-12 (all ages, really).
The piece explores the sonorities of the alphabet, mixing it with the string quartet in an open playful field of non-language and sound.

August 22nd 2012 Picking up from the succesful concert at the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, Søren Kjærgaard curates another show celebrating the centennial of John Cage.
The concert will feature a variety of Cage works, spanning from 4’33” to newer pieces, and the ensemble features the legendary drummer Paul Lovens (DE) and new bass phenoneman, Thomas Morgan (US).
